Key Stage Three
In Years 7, 8 and 9, pupils concentrate on four key areas of Mathematics: Number, Shape Space and Measure, Handling Data, and Algebra. Pupils use the ´Maths Frame working´ textbook which follows the National Numeracy Strategy.
IGCSE
All students study for the Cambridge IGCSE examination in Mathematics.

In Year 10, students will study the Core curriculum, which covers objectives up to Grade C.
In Year 11, students who have successfully passed the Core examination will study mathematics at Extended Level, with the aim of achieving grades up to A*
Students who require extra time to achieve the core objectives continue with the Core curriculum during Year 11 to improve their understanding.

A Level

Minimum entry requirements: Grade B at IGCSE Mathematics, although a grade C achieved in the extended syllabus may be sufficient in certain circumstances.
The aim of the course is to enable students to develop their mathematical knowledge and skills in a way that encourages confidence and provides satisfaction and enjoyment. This will allow them to develop an understanding of mathematical principles and an appreciation of mathematics as a logical and coherent subject, and acquire a range of mathematical skills, particularly those which will enable them to use applications of mathematics in the context of everyday situations and of other subjects they may be studying.
Through the course students will acquire the mathematical background necessary for further study in this or related subjects.
Students will initially study Pure Mathematics and Statistics. Students continuing to Year 13 will continue to study Pure Mathematics and also Mechanics.
Students can follow the one year AS level course, or follow a staged assessment route to A level by taking the AS qualification at the end of Year 12 and, subject to satisfactory performance, continue to take the final examinations at the end of Year 13.
